'Autumn Components' is the third and most colourful of my pairs that work in the 'neutral zone'. These are the warm rustic colours of autumn, which has had its 'components' taken apart and re-arranged in both time and space. There is a feeling in (1) of falling, and in (2) of resting and maturing. Parts of the colouring of this pair appear to have the texture of actual wood.
