I use two different media for my paintings, Gouache and Oil. Most of the Cambridge paintings and earlier works were done in Gouache, and for most of the semi-abstracts and abstract paintings I used Oil, which is my favoured medium at the moment.

Gouache is a water based paint, with chalk in it, which produces the solid and quite strong colour effect in these paintings. I also use very fine brushes, and draw with them as well as paint, enabling the very fine detail in many of these pictures.

All my sea/sky-scapes are oil on canvas.
